Finding Inspiration Through Pain: AYA Da Main’s Journey to Music Stardom
AYA Da Main is a talented musician who has been making music for as long as he can remember. Music is the centre of his life, and he is passionate about it like nothing else. AYA Da Main began recording music using a microphone, and he has been paying for recording sessions at nearby studios until he was signed at True Levels Records. He believes that if he wants the best things, he has to make sacrifices.
AYA Da Main started making music alone, but he recorded his first song with his junior friends in 2014. They formed a crew called ‘Young Stars’ comprising five members, including Siko Sivuyile, Sihle Mqongela, Bonga Mangqangwana, Anele (surname unknown), and AYA Da Main. They were all learners from Cofimvaba Village JSS, and AYA Da Main’s clan name is Mgcina.
In 2016, AYA Da Main recorded a song titled “Superman,” which became an instant hit with many people. It inspired others to pursue music, and it was relatable to everyone who had someone they loved and wanted to protect. AYA Da Main is currently working on an EP titled “A Man with a Broken Heart” that features six songs. He wrote this EP after experiencing some painful and hurtful things in his life, and he hopes that his fans will relate to it.
Music is the only thing that AYA Da Main knows, and he describes himself as a multi-genre artist. He is flexible and can flow with every type of beat, whether it’s hip hop, Gqom, AmaPiano, or Afro Pop. AYA Da Main draws inspiration from his desire to heal, motivate and give strength to others through his powerful and meaningful words. He hopes that his music will change the way people think and see things and make them think better.
When it comes to his favourite producers, AYA Da Main cites Mashbeats as his favourite local producer. He loves the vibe that Mashbeats gives to his songs, and he believes that it’s rare to find a song produced by Mashbeats that is boring. He is also a big fan of Nasty C and describes him as the only artist he would die for. He admires Nasty C’s lifestyle, moves, and type of sound. He also loves the music of YoungstaCPT, LUCASRAPS, #Hash, Chief Laner Cy, Lil Tjay, Stunna Gumbino, and many more. AYA Da Main dreams of visiting Johannesburg because it’s more developed than other cities in South Africa, and he believes there are more chances of success and engagement with a large number of people there.
In addition to his music career, AYA Da Main is also a financial manager at True Levels Records, a record label based in South Africa. As a proud member and the face of the label, AYA Da Main brings his unique perspective and experience to the team. Managing finances is an important aspect of running a successful record label, and AYA Da Main takes this responsibility seriously. He uses his financial expertise to help the label make sound financial decisions and to ensure that the artists under their management are well taken care of.
